A Special Seminar and Workshop Presented by the Center for Christianity in Business
April 5–6, 2024
Houston Christian University

Regular registration closes Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Register by Thursday, February 29, 2024 for early bird pricing.

Seminar Theme

In a Christ-centered company, Jesus is revealed through the influencers of the company and throughout its culture and habits. We are often told “The Bible is the best handbook for business” or “Business is ministry,” yet few can relate to the whole of Scriptural support or attest to best practices grounded in these beliefs.

Building a Christ-Centered Company, based on the book, The Christ-Centered Company: 37 Biblical Business Habits to Build a Thriving Company That Honors God and Blesses the World (by Darren Shearer), will provide practical guidance and real-world examples of best practices for 37 “habits” that define a Christ-centered company.

The interactive seminar will explore what the Bible says about each of the following critical aspects of a company and how the Scripture can make a difference in building a thriving business for God’s economy:

  • Corporate purpose and culture
  • Marketing, sales, and customer care
  • Accounting and accountability
  • People management
  • Business law and conflict
  • Risk management
  • Philanthropy

Seminar Benefits

  • In person instruction from the author of The Christ-Centered Company and two keynote presenters
  • Seminar completion certificate from Houston Christian University, Dunham College of Business
  • All meals (3) and refreshments
  • One copy of textbook and working materials
  • Networking opportunity with other Christian entrepreneurs and business owners
  • Complimentary enrollment in the author’s twice-monthly peer advisory coaching sessions for two months (a $250 value) with option to join afterwards (See Cornerstone Advisory Groups for more details: https://www.theologyofbusiness.com/cornerstone-advisory-groups/)
