Offered through the School of Nursing and Allied Health, HCU’s accelerated RN-MSN Program is designed for ADN prepared nurses who are looking to earn both their bachelor’s (BSN) and master’s degree in nursing (MSN). Students can choose between two MSN degree tracks: Nurse Leadership or Nurse Education.
Enrolling in HCU’s 100% online RN-MSN program saves you time and money by allowing you to take 6 fewer credits than if you were to earn your degrees separately. Upon completion of your BSN, you will advance straight into your MSN courses, enabling you to complete the program in as little as three years while working full-time.

- Upon completion of the undergraduate and bridge coursework, students will have earned their BSN, allowing them to enhance their resume and become eligible for job promotions before they have even completed the program.
- As students grow closer to finishing their BSN degree, they can select their MSN track with guidance from a designated career coach who will help them to make an informed decision when selecting the track that is best for their career goals.
- HCU works with each student to match them with a clinical supervisor within their organization. This mentorship opportunity allows students to maximize their network and set themselves apart for growth opportunities.
Structure
HCU’s admissions team works closely with each student to help you maximize your transfer credits so that you can complete your degree efficiently. Students will first complete the BSN level courses, which consists of advanced nursing courses and foundational general education courses. Prior to completing BSN requirements, students will take two, 16-week bridge courses for 6-credits. Upon completion of the bridge courses students will have earned their BSN degree.
*Undergraduate credits earned prior to enrolling at HCU may be eligible for transfer.

Once an undergraduate student has enrolled in the program, no more than 18 credit hours total may be accepted for transfer credit. Students will reach 60 credits from the BSN level, bridge and MSN courses. All additional general education courses are $475 per credit.
