MFA Residency Survey (August 2023)

We are so excited to host the next MFA residency, this July 30–August 4, on campus at Houston Christian University!

We'll be providing lunch and dinner throughout the week. For any non-local students, we will also provide housing near campus.

In order to complete our planning, we’d like to ask you to complete this brief survey:

Dietary Restrictions
Lunch and dinner will be provided on-campus during the residency. As we plan meals, please let us know of any specific restrictions or preferences we should keep in mind.
Schedule Constraints
The residency is scheduled for:
Sunday, July 30 (5:00–9:00 pm)
Mon–Fri, July 31–Aug 4 (12:00–9:00 pm)

Lunch (12-1 pm, Mon-Fri) is optional. Missing any other part of the residency will impact your attendance for the classes you're enrolled in. If you anticipate skipping any lunches or have scheduling conflicts, please let us know here so that we can plan accordingly.
Housing*
All classes will be held at HCU's campus in southwest Houston. Local lodging at a nearby hotel is available for any students traveling from a distance. Your tuition covers a shared room with one other student. If you would prefer your own room, we can provide that for an additional fee of $300.

Transportation*
Transportation is not included as part of tuition. If you are flying here, you will need to plan your own transportation to the hotel. We may be able to coordinate carpools to and from campus. Please share here if you anticipate transportation needs during the residency.
