Christian Cruz Advancement and University Relations Assistant Director of Advancement Services / Editor Hello Husky! My name is Christian (Alex) Cruz, and it is a blessing to be a part of the Advancement & University Relations team here at Houston Christian University. Prior to joining the HCU team, I worked in the healthcare field for 8 years working in multiple departments such as the Emergency Centers, Primary Care, and Specialty Care clinics. As the Assistant Director & Editor for Advancement Services, I have the blessing of working with our donors with their generous gifts to the University, and oversee all things from Gift Processing and Acknowledgements and Data Entry as well as Feeding to Finance for reconciliation and multiple reporting with different departments on campus. With the Advancement and University Relations team, I also serve as Editor and oversee Advancement communications like our Giving website, General Newsletters, our Advancing the Vision E-Newsletter, and other communications. As a fellow alumni from HCU, I served in various student organizations such as Student Foundation, the only student organization associated with the Office of the President. Outside of HCU, I serve as the Director of Events at my local church.
