Definition of "International Student"
An international student is defined as "non-immigrant" visitor who comes to the U.S. temporarily to take classes.
A non-immigrant is someone who meets one of the following:
- applies for a visa to be allowed entry into the U.S.
- does not have U.S. citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- currently in the U.S. without legal permanent resident status (a green card)
- intends to stay in the U.S. temporarily

3. Personal Statement
Applicants should submit a personal statement, between 300 and 500 words, sharing their desire to attend the HCU Graduate School and how they feel a degree from HCU will assist them in their academic and professional careers.

5. Peregrine Assessment
Applicants are required to complete the Peregrine Assessment prior to admission, but it is not factored into admission decisions. HCU will provide additional instructions upon the applicant’s admission to the university.

Waived for students who hold a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education whose instruction is conducted in English.

A domestic student is a U.S. citizen, naturalized U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
