Teaching Focus
Dr. Fridge’s primary teaching focus is doctoral dissertation research and preparation, as well as in educational leadership and administration. Dr. Fridge is a former school principal and is currently the Dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. These roles provide her with real life experiences that enhance the learning for her students.

Dr. Fridge has guided doctoral research as a dissertation chair for 21 doctoral students and has served on 11 committees.
Committee Service/Offices Held
At HCU, Dr. Fridge has served as the Faculty Assembly President, Treasurer, and college representative. She was a member of the Husky Strong Task Force that led the university through COVID and was the Co-Chair of the Provost Search Committee. Prior to coming to HCU as faculty, Dr. Fridge served on the Education Advisory Boards at: HCU, University of Houston, University of Houston-Downtown, Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University, and at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Veritas Classical Christian Academy and has been on the Board of Trustees at Richmond Methodist Church.
Honors/Awards
Dr. Fridge was the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Piper Professor nominee for outstanding teaching. She has been awarded funding several years to promote literacy in area elementary schools through the Cullen Foundation HIED Early Literacy Grant. Dr. Fridge was invited and presented professional development to education leaders at the University of Pelita Haripan in Indonesia. Through her years of work and service, she has earned the rank of full professor.

Prior to coming to Higher Education, Dr. Fridge served 31 years in the public-school arena working as a teacher, counselor, Assistant Principal, Principal and HR Director.
