Scheduled Portal Maintenance Through May 31

HCU is rolling out a new portal experience on June 1st. Between May 20-31, students will be unable to access HuskyNet or submit payments online, and other faculty tools may be unavailable.

Fontenot, Dr. John Travis Spoede, Jr., and Dr. Mary Houser (from West Chester University) presented their original research at the Council for Learning Disabilities International Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Their round table discussion was titled “Instructional Strategies for iPad Use.”

On Tuesday October 18th, they presented at a market place poster session in Louisville, Kentucky, at the National Council for Exceptional Children’s Division of Early Childhood Conference. The presentation was titled “The iPad: An Overview of Its Implementation and Effectiveness in Elementary Classrooms.” The purpose of this study was to investigate the iPad’s overall use and effectiveness. Results indicated that iPads are routinely being used in today’s elementary classrooms and are particularly successful when working with special needs populations.
