Dr. Encarnacion (Encarna) Bermejo, was a symposium panelist at the XX International Symposium of Hispanic Studies in Spain on June 23. The topic of the symposium panel was “Teaching the language, how to analyze the media and linguistic proposal” and Dr. Bermejo presented her paper entitled “Emerging morphological system in the writing of students of Spanish as a Heritage Language”. At the conference, Dr. Bermejo also presented a poster that discussed the Spanish Placement Exam for Heritage Speakers.
