First Year Success Coach Dr. Vivian Medrano presented at the 10th Annual Mentoring Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The international conference took place October 23 through 27, 2017, and was hosted by the Mentoring Institute through the University of New Mexico. Dr. Medrano’s presentation, “Mentoring in the Degree Attainment and Career Paths of Senior Administrative Latinas Working in HSIs,” was based off of her dissertation that explored the effect of mentoring on the degree attainment and career paths of first generation Mexican American women employed in senior administrative leadership roles at Hispanic-serving institutions. Dr. Medrano’s conference paper proceedings will be published in the Mentoring Institute’s academic journal, “The Chronicle of Mentoring & Coaching.”
