Dr. Renata Nero accepted an invitation to be a panelist at the Black History Month program held at Baylor College of Medicine on Feb. 27. The topic was, “Racial Disparities in the Lab, Clinic and Community.” The invitation was extended by two student groups – African American Women in Science and the Association for Graduate Student Diversity. The purpose of the panel discussion was to address issues relevant to both the African-American community and the broader healthcare community.
