Houston Christian University (HCU) is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Hartless to Vice President of Online Adult & Graduate Studies. Hartless previously served as Associate Vice President of Online Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions in the division and served in an interim capacity for his current role.

“We are very pleased that Kevin Hartless is the new Vice President of Online Adult & Graduate Studies. Kevin has already served HCU with great effectiveness in an interim capacity and brings great experience and a record of proven results to this new role. We welcome him to this position,” said HCU President Robert B. Sloan.

Hartless joined HCU in August 2024 and has served in the Adult and Graduate Studies division, where he has played a key role in strengthening the University’s online enrollment strategies and supporting the success of adult and graduate students.

He considers it an honor to step into his new role and expressed his gratitude to Dr. Sloan for the opportunity.

“I’ve had the privilege of serving at HCU in our Adult and Graduate Studies division since 2024. The men and women in the division work hard every day to ensure our students are successful in following God’s calling for their lives and also help them achieve their dreams of graduating. I’m excited to continue the work of building a vibrant, Christ-centered community of students who are following the Lord,” said Hartless.

Hartless brings 30 years of experience in higher education, including 15 years in executive leadership. His expertise includes enrollment management, marketing and recruitment, with a proven record of driving new student growth while improving retention and graduation outcomes at leading nonprofit universities. He joined HCU following a successful tenure at Kansas State University’s Global Campus.

In his new role, he will lead the continued expansion and strategic development of HCU’s online programs, supporting the University’s mission to provide a Christ-centered education to students around the world.
