Convo in Dunham Theater
February 4 @ 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
We’re honored to welcome Reverend Byron C. Stevenson back to HCU where he will take us to Matthew 6. He’ll show us that Jesus teaches His disciples not just that we should pray—but how. Prayer is more than a routine; it’s a vital expression of our union with Christ and a key habit for living fully alive in Him. Come ready to learn how prayer deepens our intimacy with Jesus and shapes us to live out of His presence daily.
Reverend Byron C. Stevenson is the Senior Pastor and Founder of The Fort Bend Church in Sugar Land, Texas, which he launched in 2004 on the pillars of trust, faith, kindness, compassion, and generous living. Under his leadership, the church now supports over 45 ministries and a staff of 40, all committed to “serving the total needs of God’s people.”
A respected community leader, Pastor Stevenson has served on several boards, including the Baptist General Convention of Texas and the Houston Area Urban League, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His ministry has taken him to Cairo, Egypt; Rome, Italy; Jerusalem; Amman, Jordan; and Bethlehem, as he continues to proclaim the gospel across the globe. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Sonya, and they have two daughters, Claire Alexandra and Cydney Victoria.
