CONVO: Mission Commissioning: Blaine Hooper
April 15 @ 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Join us at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, in Dunham Theater as we send out our seniors into the work God has prepared for them—serving in local church ministries and engaging in mission work both across the nation and around the world. This is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness and to pray over those stepping into the next season of His calling.
We will also hear from Blaine Hooper, lead pastor of Christ Our Refuge Church, a congregation devoted to serving refugees in our city. His ministry is marked by a commitment to reaching those far from God among all peoples and fostering unity in the gospel among those whom the Lord gathers into His Church.
Blaine is a devoted husband to his wife, Anna, and a father to their three children, Micah, William, and Emilia. He is a combat-wounded veteran and retired U.S. Army officer, a graduate of Rice University and Dallas Theological Seminary, and has a deep love for Houston and cross-cultural ministry. His life’s work is centered on knowing Christ and helping others make His love known, and he serves faithfully as the planting pastor of Refuge Church.
