The  Polish Duo Presents: “Myths,
Fables & Fairytales”

Join us for an exciting concert featuring the
passionate musicians of The Polish Duo:

Dominika Dancewicz, violin

Alina Klimaszewska, piano

The artists present the iconic Myths” by Karol Szymanowski – three musical fables inspired
by Greek mythology:

The Spring of Arethusa”

Narcissus”

Dryads and Pan”

The colorful, imaginative score by
Szymanowski, composed in 1915, achieved an instant fame and admiration because
of the innovative sound effects and technical demands it presents for both
musicians. This iconic piece has been stimulating the imagination of
generations of music lovers!

Alongside the Myths” The Duo will
perform the epic Violin Sonata in A minor (1885) by IgnacyJan Paderewski, who
was a towering figure not only in world’s pianism, but also in world’s
politics. This piece, composed after experiencing a deep personal loss, is full
of stormy, romantic gestures, and sweeping storytelling.
