Husky Dance Squad Fall Clinic

Purpose of the Clinic

The purpose of the clinic would be to provide local dancers with an opportunity to learn about Husky Dance Squad while also having a hands-on experience at Houston Christian University. Participants would learn directly from Husky Dance Squad coaches and members through dance instruction, choreography, and other activities. The clinic would provide both an instructional and community-engagement opportunity while allowing participants to experience HCU’s campus and learn more about the university.

Our main goals would be to:

• Provide local dancers with quality dance training and instruction.
• Give dancers outside of HCU an opportunity to learn directly from Husky Dance Squad members and coaches.
• Allow prospective students to experience the HCU campus and become more familiar with campus life.
• Increase visibility and awareness of Husky Dance Squad and Houston Christian University.
• Build relationships with local dancers and dance communities.
• Provide current HCU students with an additional opportunity to become involved in campus activities and event programming.
• Create an opportunity for prospective students to interact with current HCU students and learn about their experiences.
• Create a fundraising opportunity for the Husky Dance Squad. $25 for Non-HCU Student and $10 for current HCU Student.
