Juan Cerda is a Houston native and a Biology major at HCU. He grew up loving both science and music, learning to play several instruments at a young age. On campus, Juan is involved in the worship band, Refuge, and is an officer in Tri-Beta, an academic honor society for the sciences. In the summer of 2019, Juan worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the CPRIT (Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas) Program, where he gained laboratory research experience.
