Evelyn Azalia Portillo-Recinos completed a bachelor’s degree at HCU with a double major in Education (bilingual generalist (Spanish) EC-6), and Interdisciplinary Studies. She has worked as a bilingual teacher for Alief ISD for 10 years. Evelyn returned to HCU to earn her Master of Education; she is becoming a reading specialist and obtaining training in dyslexia through the Neuhaus Program that HCU offers in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences.
