Scheduled Portal Maintenance Through May 31

HCU is rolling out a new portal experience on June 1st. Between May 20-31, students will be unable to access HuskyNet or submit payments online, and other faculty tools may be unavailable.

Dr. Shannon Bedo, Director of International and Veteran & Military Services, talks with Cody Harrington, Veteran and International Student Coordinator, about the journey that brought him to HCU after serving as an 8-year combat veteran in the U.S. Army. His quest for a deeper understanding of life and purpose led him to study theology at Liberty University before God called him to HCU to finish his degree and later opened a door of opportunity for him to support the needs of student veterans. Harrington helps students navigate their post-deployment transition from the military in a variety of ways, including obtaining free counseling services, achieving academic readiness through programs such as the Husky Veteran Scholar Bootcamp, and learning to balance school and family life as a non-traditional student. He also points student veterans to available resources through the Veteran Center and other veteran service organizations. His goal is to help students who have served their country find a place to use their strong leadership skills, establish a solid academic and spiritual foundation, understand God’s mission for their lives and connect with a community of fellow student veterans with shared experiences.
