Testing for Certification
The Educator Preparation Program (EPP) coordinates all educator certification testing for students across Houston Christian University. Support services for enrolled students include: test preparation, administration of representative diagnostic tests, and test registration.
Educator candidates are well prepared for state certification exams. There are opportunities embedded within the program for candidates to participate in diagnostic test and review sessions as they prepare to demonstrate a deep knowledge base as measured by state exams. A vast array of support provided by HCU’s network ensures candidates every opportunity to become self-aware, successful educators who impact their students, communities and reflect godly principles.

Fees included within the HCU registration costs fund the first administration of the certification exam for the currently enrolled program of the candidate. Subsequent testing after program completion is the responsibility of the candidate.
