Dr. Marie A. Mater, associate professor of speech communication in the Department of Law and Society, was invited to judge at the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association (NCFCA) District B Qualifier Tournament on February 3, 2017. The event was held at the First Baptist Church in Conroe, Texas. Dr. Mater judged the Team Policy Debate Octo-Final Round, and participating students were from Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
NCFCA is an organization committed to training homeschool, high school students to address life issues in a manner that glorifies God, and ultimately preparing students to shape the culture and impact people for Christ.
