On February 12, Dr. Sara Frear, associate professor in the Department of History and Great Texts, delivered a presentation titled, “‘Harsh and Lovely’: A Catholic History of the Gulf South” at Fides Quarens Intellectum (Faith Seeking Understanding), the adult education forum at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church. In this lecture, she proposed an Annales School approach to the study of the history of the Catholic Church on the Gulf Coast.
