Dr. Lisa Ellis, assistant professor in the Department of Biology, and twenty students from the HBU Biology department attended the 2018 Beta Beta Beta South Central Regional Convention in Cedar Hill, Texas from April 6 to 8. This regional meeting included TriBeta biological honor societies from universities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Seven HBU Biology students presented their research. Parnia Forouzan won 2nd place for her oral research presentation and HBU TriBeta also won 2nd place for Chapter History, thanks to Historian Shauna Cherukara’s leadership.
