HCU’s McNair Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise joined forces with St. Thomas University’s (STU) McNair Center for Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship to host the first-ever Pitch Fest on the Houston Christian University campus on Dec. 2 in the Morris Family Center for Law & Liberty complex.
Both universities collaborated to bring entrepreneurial students from each campus to the event. Participants pitched their business ideas and competed to receive cash prizes.
The Pitch Fest included panels of business experts who shared their expertise on various topics from securing business funding to finding business resources to launching a startup. Current students and alumni who own small businesses were invited to promote and sell their products in a special Pop-Up Market during the inaugural event.
The McNair Center provides students with the tools and experience they need through academics, case studies, mentorships, competitions and real-world experiences so they will be prepared to launch new and innovative businesses in their chosen areas of interest.
