Houston Christian University (HCU) announces the launch of its cutting-edge Master of Science in Human Resources Management – People Analytics (MSHRM-PA) degree program in the Archie W. Dunham College of Business for the Fall 2025 semester.

This STEM-designated program uniquely blends traditional HR leadership with advanced data analytics, equipping graduates to lead today’s dynamic, data-driven workplaces with confidence, integrity and strategic vision.  Students will have the option of enrolling in a fully online or residential/hybrid format.

“Our new Online MSHRM in People Analytics equips HR professionals with the tools to analyze workforce data, predict trends, and demonstrate the impact of HR initiatives, transforming intuition into evidence and strategy into measurable success,” said Dr. April Kinchen, Professor and Program Coordinator for the MSHRM-PA program.

Designed for working professionals, the fully online format offers maximum flexibility, requiring no campus visits and providing access to virtual networking, faculty engagement and hands-on learning opportunities. Students can enroll in courses across multiple terms throughout the year, allowing for customized pacing while balancing professional commitments.

The residential program’s hybrid approach is a 60% classroom and 40% online experience for each class.  Students in the residential program can optionally complete fully online classes.  The residential hybrid approach provides students the advantages of an in-person educational experience while allowing maximum flexibility.

“The new Residential Hybrid MSHRM in People Analytics combines the best of in-person engagement and online flexibility, empowering future HR leaders to harness data, predict outcomes, and drive organizational impact with evidence-based decisions, all on a schedule that fits real life,” said Dr. Kinchen.

Degree candidates must complete 33 credit hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA, no more than 6 credit hours transferred from another institution and no grade below a “C”. The program will provide students with a strong foundation in business principles, quantitative analysis and strategic HR functions.

The innovative, dual-delivery degree program will provide students with interactive, real world case studies and data modeling, national networking opportunities through HCU’s virtual platform while equipping them with ethical decision-making and Christian values.

In alignment with the Society for Human Resource Management’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates, the MSHRM-PA program aims to produce next-generation HR leaders capable of making evidence-based decisions, integrating data-driven strategies with people-focused leadership, and addressing complex workforce challenges with both analytical precision and ethical integrity.

HCU also offers a nine-credit graduate certificate in People Analytics. The certificate program focuses on data analytics, HR technology and digital HR strategies and is ideal for professionals who already hold a graduate degree and are looking to upskill in data and people analytics.
