Online Learning Student Grievance Information
Houston Christian University is concerned with how students are treated, desires to help them understand processes and procedures, and wants to hear and resolve student concerns and grievances. In compliance with the US Department of Education regulations, Houston Christian University has the following policies concerning grievance resolution.
HCU students in online programs/courses who reside outside of the state of Texas should attempt to resolve any issues or complaints with Houston Christian University. The process for filing a grievance is outlined in the Grievance Policy. Students are expected to exhaust these internal Grievance Procedures before seeking resolution externally.
If the grievances are solved unsatisfactorily by the University, the student may file a complaint about Houston Christian University with the student’s state of residence by referring to the following list of state agencies in compliance with federal Department of Education regulations. You may also contact our accrediting agency, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
