Being a part of the campus community at a Christian university does not replace the imperative to pursue discipleship to the Lord Jesus through membership and ministry in the local church.

Just as our academic departments seek to prepare students to make meaningful contributions to the world through their vocations after graduation, Spiritual Life aims to help you develop practices and patterns of life that will serve your spiritual formation even once you are no longer on campus. We want you to graduate ready and equipped with the maturity to take responsibility for your lifelong discipleship. Belonging to a church-community is essential to your growth now and throughout your future.

Our Spiritual Life Team is always eager to help find a church that matches your Christian tradition, is near where you live, and provides opportunities to use the gifts that God has given to you. Contact us to connect personally to find a faithful church that is right for you or consider the churches who partner closely with HCU Spiritual Life through our Local Church Collaborative.

HCU Local Church Collaborative

The Local Church Collaborative is a community of local church leaders who love Christ, who love HCU students, and who want to join together to pray, plan, learn, and serve cooperatively to see you flourish to become more like Jesus by being planted deeply in a church community. Every church in the Collaborative commits to:

  • Full alignment with HCU’s Ten Pillars Core Convictions
  • Regular presence and engagement on campus
  • Serve HCU students with opportunities for personal discipleship on campus and beyond
  • Volunteering in and supporting ministries that bless HCU students
