Participation in Community Life and Worship (CLW) opportunities is recorded through the iAttended mobile app. Follow the steps below to set up your account and start tracking your credits towards graduation.
Step 1 — Download the iAttended app
iAttended is available for free on both iOS and Android. Tap the button to find iAttended in your device app store.
Step 2 — Create your account
After installing the app, follow these steps to set up your iAttended account using your HCU credentials.
- Enter your HCU email — NOT a personal email account — on the app’s welcome screen
Use your official @HC.edu email address to register. This links your account to HCU’s records. Using any other email address will not add credits to your official student record. Always use login with MS open. - Confirm your email
Check your inbox for a verification email and follow the link to activate your iAttended account. - Future sign-ins with Microsoft login
Once your account is set up, you should always use the option to login to the app via Microsoft single sign-on.
Step 3 — Record participation at events
At any CLW-A or CLW-B event, you will use your phone to scan a QR code to register your attendance. This can happen in one of two ways:
Scan Projected QR Code
Scan the event QR code projected onto a screen using iAttended or your phone’s camera app. (This is the method we will always use at Convocation.)
SCAN QR Code
If a projected code isn’t available, use your iAttended app to scan the QR code on the phone of the ministry staff leader present at your event. Access this option by pressing “Scan QR” on your iAttended app’s home screen.
Credit Confirmation
Once you have successfully reported your participation, the iAttended app will display a message confirming that your attendance has been recorded. (You will miss getting credit for participation if you leave an event before your credit is confirmed in the app.)
Students do not receive CLW credit if they arrive late, leave early, fail to check in, do not participate attentively, or distract others from participating. A student may not check-in for another student using their phone. Any students who do so will both be subject to disciplinary action.
Step 4 — Track your CLW credits
You can monitor your CLW credit totals at any time through your iAttended account, as well as through other HCU systems:
- View your participation history in the iAttended app under the Attended tab and your CLW credit totals under Progress > Counters.
- Verify credit toward graduation in Degree Works
Eighty (80) total CLW credits are required for graduation. A minimum of 50 CLW credits must come from Convocation participation (CLW-A credits) to satisfy the graduation requirement.
Important policies
- It is your responsibility to ensure your participation is recorded at each event and to request immediate help before leaving if there is a problem.
- For questions about your CLW record, contact the Spiritual Life Office directly: spirituallife@HC.edu.
- Corrections of your CLW record must be requested by the end of the semester.
- Students enrolled in a Pampell Global Campus online undergraduate degree program also complete CLW credits through the iAttended app.
Need help?
A Spiritual Life or campus ministry representative will be available at every CLW-approved event to assist with iAttended check-in. You can also reach out to the office directly with any questions about your account or credit records.
