Mike Rome
Prior to joining HCU as Dean of the Dunham College of Business, Mike served as CEO and Principal at Chilton Capital Management, working mainly on strategy, business development, and overseeing day to day activities for the firm. Mike is nationally recognized as a leading investment and wealth advisor to business owners, senior executives, and family offices. His 35+ year career includes experience in virtually every facet of the investment industry. Before joining Chilton, Mike was CEO of Texan Capital, and was a partner at Bridgeway Capital Management and AIM/Invesco, while leading offices for Merrill Lynch, Kidder Peabody, and Oppenheimer. He is also a Partner in a private-equity firm, Memorial Capital Partners. Mike graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, and was a two sport letterman in Football and Baseball. He furthered his studies in Portfolio Management at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and in Behavioral Finance at Harvard University. He is active in the community and serves on a number of boards, including the City of Houston Higher Education Finance Corp., University of Kansas School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Texas Libraries System, HCU Center for Christianity, and the Holocaust Museum.
