Dr. Akatsa-Hinga’s primary teaching focus lies in the disciplines of international business and management. In addition to her academic credentials, she brings 26 years of corporate leadership and international operations experience, offering students valuable real-world insights. Her teaching approach emphasizes hands-on learning, engaging students in collaborative analyses of current business case studies to enhance their understanding of complex concepts. Research Interest and Publications

Dr. Akatsa-Hinga is an active member of the Academy of Management and served as a reviewer in 2019 and 2020. Her research interests include organizational culture, employee engagement, strategic management, sustainability, and international business.  Dr. Akatsa-Hinga is presently engaged in writing a chapter for a book that addresses the challenges faced by Indigenous Peoples in the workplace.

Additional Information

Dr. Akatsa-Hinga is the author of three books, which include two romance novels titled “Forbidden” and “Different Strokes: The Awakening,” as well as a historical narrative titled “The Woman, Her Shame, and Her Redeemer,” inspired by the Samaritan Woman’s story in John 4. An adventurous spirit, Dr. Akatsa-Hinga actively participates in outdoor activities and seeks exhilarating experiences during her vacations, engaging in pursuits like zip-lining, bungee jumping, skydiving, and white-water rafting. Additionally, she enjoys nature walks, participates in Zumba, and values time spent with her family.
