Key Takeaways

  • The local church is a ripe environment to launch marketplace ministries—and it doesn’t have to start with the pastor: Business leaders possess a unique depth that can bridge the historical gap between pastors and the marketplace, meaning anyone can step up to bring high-quality faith-and-work content into their church’s small group directory to disciple working professionals.
  • You don’t have to check your faith at the door to build an ethical workplace: Every business owner desires an ethical environment, and because ethics are fundamentally shaped by faith, using biblical core values provides a natural, non-confrontational platform to model integrity and open meaningful doors for faith integration on Mondays.
  • Servant leadership can completely transform a hostile corporate culture and accelerate growth: Rick shares how his boss’s radical, principle-driven approach—such as washing the cars of all employees—won over a deeply resistant team and turned a troubled bank to profitability in just 1.5 years instead of the projected 3.0 years.

Christian Business Leader is the show for marketplace Christians seeking to explore and apply God’s will for business. If you want to learn more about how to do business for the glory of God and shape culture through discipling the business world, this show is for you.
