Educator Preparation Program (EPP)
Established in August 2012, the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) was created to provide comprehensive support to HCU students pursuing Texas educator certification. Support includes management of field-based experiences, state-aligned program delivery, yearly reporting, and training for students and staff. The EPP office is housed in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, and oversees undergraduate, graduate, and Alternative Certification (ACP) processes for 20 initial teacher certification programs and 6 professional-level certification programs.

Applications for admittance into EPP are due by February 15 (Fall admission) and September 15 (Spring admission). Applications for professional-level programs are accepted year-round.
