Hello future huskies!

My name is Abena Pokua and I was born in one of the greatest cities: Houston, Texas! I am grateful for the opportunity to be your admissions counselor while at the same time serving this institution. I attended Houston Christian University and received my Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Management in May of 2018. While I attended the university I was heavily involved in several organizations on campus: FYS Peer Mentor, G.O. Leader, President of BSU, TRIO member, Gen-1 Mentor, student worker in the Office of Admissions, Husky Ambassador, and I even won Homecoming Queen!

I love to read, shop, and find great places to eat in Houston when I have spare time. I love HCU because it is a home away from home. Everyone is kind, no one hesitates to help you, and above all, HCU offers a positive and nurturing environment to build your faith. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!
