Hello Future Huskies!

My name is Micah Moore, and I am so excited to be your Admissions Counselor! I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and I am thrilled to help guide you on your journey toward joining the Husky family.

I graduated from Prairie View A&M University in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. During my time at PVAMU, I was deeply involved in campus life, participating in numerous organizations like Sisters Improving Sisterhood, the Criminal Justice Club, and the Alpha Phi Sigma Honor Society. After graduating, I transitioned into education and taught for three years before becoming an Academic Counselor working with 1st- and 8th-grade students.

Outside of my professional and academic life, I am passionate about fitness, cooking, self-care, and quality time with loved ones. In my free time, you can usually find me spending time outdoors with family and friends, reading a great book, or exploring local farmers’ markets.

As your Admissions Counselor, my goal is to help you discover your passion and thrive throughout your academic journey. I am here to offer encouragement, serve as a safe space, and guide you during this exciting and pivotal time. I can’t wait to work with you and see all that you achieve!
