Dr. Stewart Morris 100 for 100
Ceremonial Groundbreaking

More than 60 years ago, Dr. Stewart Morris, Sr. sat on a property committee to begin a new college in Houston. In order to purchase the land, Dr. Morris and 24 other businessmen pledged to be responsible for $10,000 each, and in doing so, began Houston Baptist College.

Since that time, Dr. Morris has served and invested in HCU immeasurably. He is among the most faithful attenders of HCU events; he especially enjoys graduation ceremonies when students cross the stage before going out into the world to further the mission of HCU as professionals.

During Dr. Morris’ birthday month, October, honor this founding father by investing in the Houston Christian University legacy. Celebrate his birthday by making a contribution to the Morris Family Center for Law & Liberty and write a personal note for inclusion in a special book commemorating his 100th birthday.
