Culture Influencers: Doni Wilson

Dr. Doni M. WilsonDoni Wilson, Professor of English in the School of Humanities, spoke at the HBU Retirees’ Association about her adventures as a columnist writing about the most popular television series in the world, Downton Abbey, and her subsequent writing about theater, music, and books. Dr. Wilson also reviewed The Alley Theatre’s current production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is part of their celebration of 400 years of Shakespeare. Her essay reflecting on the sold-out Inprint reading of bestselling novelists Lauren Groff and Ann Patchett was featured on the online premium front page for readers of The Houston Chronicle’s award-winning Gray Matters section, and her review of the national premiere of “Da Kus” at Stages Repertory Theatre appears in Houstonia Magazine’s “On the Town” arts and culture site.
