Minor in Mathematics
The Mathematics minor at Houston Christian University provides a strong foundation in mathematical theory, structures and applications. This 20 or 21 credit hour program combines pure and applied mathematics with computer applications to support modern career paths. Students develop analytical skills through coursework in calculus, linear algebra and advanced mathematics under experienced faculty.
Course Requirements
Core requirements for the mathematics minor include:
- Calculus I (4 hours)
- Calculus II (4 hours)
- Choice of Linear Algebra (3 hours) or Calculus III (4 hours)
Elective requirements include:
- Nine additional hours in Mathematics at the 3000 level or above (excluding MATH 3302, 3304, 4201 and Special Topics courses)
