Financial Settlement Deadlines
You must be financially settled the week prior to the start of your first class of the semester in order to remain registered.
Failure to meet the financial settlement deadline may result in being administratively withdrawn from courses for the semester and/or receiving a $150 late settlement fee.

Federal Aid Student Refund Dates
2025 - 2026
- Disbursement begins July 8, 2025
- Eligible students can expect refunds to be sent out by: July 22, 2025
- Disbursement begins September 3, 2025
- Eligible students can expect refunds to be sent out by: September 17, 2025
- Disbursement begins on October 20, 2025 (for students that reach halftime enrollment during the 2nd 8 week session)
- Eligible students can expect refunds to be sent out by: November 3, 2025
- Disbursement begins January 21, 2026
- Eligible students can expect refunds to be sent out by: February 4, 2026
- Disbursement begins on March 16, 2026 (for students that reach halftime enrollment during the 2nd 8 week session)
- Eligible students can expect refunds to be sent out by: March 30, 2026
The default refund method is a mailed check via USPS, which can take up to 14 days to arrive to your address on file.
We STRONGLY encourage setting up Direct Deposit to receive your refund within 5 business days instead.

Loan Adjustment Requirements
You have the right to cancel all or a portion of this loan disbursement within 14 days after disbursement has been made. However, keep in mind any cancellation or reduction of loans may cause you to owe money to HCU. To cancel or reduce your loan, send a signed and dated request to reduce or cancel your loans to FinancialAid@HC.edu.
