As students come back to campus from Spring Break, the time will go by quickly and summer will be here soon! The Office of Career and Calling has designed the Community Internship Program to contribute to the professional development of HCU students. In addition, companies use Internships as a means of filling entry-level roles with students who have already been trained and are ready to engage as a valuable employee. We have put processes in place to ensure that students are prepared and confident when engaging employers. Internship Mixer!
On Wednesday, April 3 (5:30-7pm), Intros & Interns: An Internship Mixer will give students the opportunity to meet with recruiters from many Internship sites. Any student interested in a summer or fall internship is encouraged to attend!
FREE SUITS!
We can connect HCU students with non-profit organizations (Dress for Success Houston & Career Gear), that help our students make a great first impression with a professional suit. Students can drop-by during open drop-in hours on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 4-6pm OR Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 9-11am.
Job Fair:
HCU Career Fairs are already done for the Spring semester, however HCU participates in what’s known as The Texas Job Fair. Texas Job Fair: Tuesday, April 2, 2019, 10am-3pm (note: off-campus)

HCU students can post résumés, pre-register for upcoming events, sign-up for on-campus interviews, and of course search for jobs by contacting the Career and Calling office.
