FAQs About Career Fairs

For the Business and STEM career fair, we anticipate approximately 300 total business and STEM students spread across all disciplines and academic years. The introductory freshman business course is required to attend for a developmental networking opportunity.

Students receive a list of employers prior to the event and are encouraged to research companies in advance to plan their experience. Employers are not grouped by industry, allowing students to explore all opportunities. A map will be provided to help students navigate and prioritize their interactions.

Each employer is provided with an 8ft table and 2 chairs, and you are welcome to bring displays that fit on or around the table. We recommend bringing your own tablecloth as tablecloths will not be provided unless requested in your event registration. There are no limitations on display sizes.

Tables are pre-assigned according to a layout map provided to students. Each table is spaced apart, and there are no pipe-and-drape dividers.

You are welcome to bring brochures, business cards, giveaways, or promotional items that fit on your table. Please ensure that any materials comply with the university’s standards and are appropriate for a professional setting.

There is no limit on the number of representatives, but we recommend 2-4 representatives. Two lunches are included in your registration, and additional lunches can be purchased for representatives through your event confirmation email. Sponsorship opportunities are available if you have a larger group and would like to increase your firm’s visibility.

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Select “HCU Guest” on your WiFi menu to access our network.

Students are asked to dress in business professional attire, though business casual is acceptable. Students dressed casually will be redirected to a workshop for resume assistance and professional attire resources. We ask that our employers dress in business casual or business professional attire. Company polos with dress pants are often a great option for the career fair for employer representatives.

Yes, parking is free in visitor lots, and no parking passes are required. Lot 5 is designated for visitor parking areas on career fair day.

The venue is ADA accessible, with the employer entry near visitor parking Lot 5. Student workers will be available to assist with unloading if needed.

We recommend that representatives actively engage with students, ask about their career interests, and offer insights into your company’s culture and job opportunities. Preparing questions that encourage students to talk about their skills and experiences can also foster meaningful conversations.

Sponsorship packages are available for employers seeking additional exposure. These packages may include options such as logo placement on marketing materials, signage at the event, and social media shout-outs. For additional information, please contact Business and STEM staff.

Yes, interview rooms can be reserved in advance through Business and STEM staff.

If you need to cancel your registration, please inform us at least one week prior to the event to allow us to adjust our setup and offer your spot to another employer.

After the fair, a survey is distributed to gather feedback from both employers and students. One representative from your company is asked to complete the survey to allow us to continue our efforts to improve our students and employer experience. Employer emails collected through the survey are maintained in a Career Fair distribution list for future career fairs and involvement opportunities.

For the Business Career Fair & STEM, please reach out to  (Business) or  (STEM) if you have additional questions.
