“The Honors College has been a very enriching part of my university experience. As an educator who encourages her students to always be curious, it is very important for me to approach the world with a sense of wonder. This program was a blessing to be a part of and I am thankful for the ways in which it helped me grow in my appreciation for God’s creation so that I can encourage that same sense of awe in my students.”
— Karina Santiago ’26, Honors College Student and Education Alumna
Honors College students who are majoring in education follow specially-designed plans in order to complete both the Honors College requirements and the requirements for their major. Students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Education—either at the elementary level (K–6) or the high-school level (7–12)—will be able to complete their Honors College requirements and the pre-education requirements in their first two years before jumping into their education requirements in their last two years.
If you are interested in the Honors College and want to pursue a degree in classical Christian education, consider pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Christian Education alongside your Honors College studies. Honors College students who are Classical Christian Education majors follow the standard three-year Honors College pathway to graduation.
Regardless of which education program you pursue at HCU, there is an Honors College degree plan and pathway to graduation for you.
