Veterans Student Services

At Houston Christian University, the Office of Veteran Services honors the service and sacrifice of our nation’s military community by providing high-impact support designed to help veterans, active duty, reservists, and military-affiliated families thrive in their academic and personal journeys.

We are committed to creating a high-care environment where every military-connected student is equipped to succeed from admission to graduation and beyond. Our office serves as the central hub for VA education benefits, military-affiliated admissions, academic transition support, career readiness, and community engagement.

Through programs like VALOR (Veteran Academic Leaders for Outreach and Resources) and the Husky Veterans Association (HVA), we foster peer mentorship, leadership development, and a strong sense of belonging on campus. We also collaborate across departments to ensure that each military student receives personalized guidance in academics, finances, and professional growth. Whether you served—or served alongside—HCU is here for you.

Student Spotlight

Logan Henderson, Navy Veteran
“HCU has been a true blessing. From early registration that supports my family schedule to timely benefits and financial aid, everything has been smooth and reliable. The smaller class sizes offer meaningful interaction, and my faith has deepened through both academics and community. I’m proud to call HCU my home for learning, leading, and growing.”
