HCU became only the second university in the state of Texas to enter into Division I beach volleyball competition, along with Texas Christian University, beginning in 2016. Cameron Sitler joined HCU athletics in 2015 and has served as head coach of the beach volleyball program since 2018. With a background in both indoor and beach volleyball, he has led the team to successes including winning the Southland Showcase for the past two years.
