Joel Stanulonis is Assistant Professor of Art in the department of Visual Art at Houston Christian University. He received his BFA from HBU in 2012 and earned an MFA at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Joel specializes in classical representational painting and teaches studio courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. In 2015, Joel received the national MFA feature from New American Painting Magazine, and was twice a finalist for the Hunting Art Prize. His work is in the permanent collection of the PAFA museum in Philadelphia and in private collections around the US.
