HCU Mini Cheer Clinic 2024
Saturday, October 5th at 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
The HCU Mini Cheer Clinic is designed to introduce participants to HCU Cheer and teach them basic cheer skills and cheer etiquette. The clinic is designed for participants: K-5th Grade, ages 5-11.
Participants will learn a few chants and a dance to perform during halftime of the HCU Football game Saturday, October 5th at 6:00 p.m.!
Registration
Cost is $40 and includes:
- HCU Mini Clinic T-Shirt (for the participant)
- Participant’s Football game admission
- Snack
- Clinic fee

Registration Notices
- Registration through September 30th guarantees requested t-shirt size.
- $50 for same day registrations. No refunds will be given.
- Participant’s ticket to the Football game is covered with registration. Purchase additional tickets for parents/guardians and guests.

Clinic: 10 am – 12 pm + Football Game at 6 p.m.
Location
Clinic will be held on the HCU campus in Morris Cultural Art Center, McNair Hall which is located at 7502 Fondren Rd. Houston, TX 77074.
- Use Entrance #2 on Fondren Road or entrance #3 on Beechnut Street. There will be signs directing participants towards McNair Hall.
- Parking will be in Lot 6 next to the Softball field and McNair Hall is building 1.

Schedule
Saturday, October 5th
9:30 am: Check-In starts: Parent/Guardian must be present during check-in to complete liability form.
10:00- 12:00 pm: Clinic!!
***11:30 pm: Parents/Guardians can come back for a showcase to see what your participant has learned!
12:00 pm: Dismissed for lunch on your own with family
5:45 pm: All participants report to Husky Stadium to get ready for the game!
6:00 pm: HCU Football Game!! Mini Cheer Clinic performance during half-time. ***Once the performance is complete, participants are free to go with their parents/guardians.

- Comfortable T-shirt for clinic
- Black bottoms (athletic shorts or yoga/legging pants)
- Athletic shoes
- Hair should be pulled back out of the face with an optional cheer bow for girls (white, blue, or orange)!
- No jewelry should be worn throughout the duration of the clinic and the game.
- Clinic t-shirt should be worn for the HCU Football game

At the Football Game
Things to know for the Football Game & Performance
- All participants will sit in the bleachers and cheer on the sidelines with the HCU Cheerleaders during the first half of the game
- At halftime, the cheer team will escort the participants to the field for their performance.
- Parents/Guardians have the option of picking up the participants after their halftime performance or immediately after the game.
