Steve Parkhill
Steve Parkhill is a founder (in 1987), managing director and president of EEPB, one of Houston’s largest local accounting firms. Steve oversees the strategic direction of the firm while also working for clients in the healthcare, personal service and real estate industries. He specializes in improving operational profitability and providing accounting and practical tax solutions to complex situations. Under Steve’s leadership, EEPB has developed a firm succession plan which includes a long-term vision and direction plan for the firm.
Steve currently serves on several boards including the Business Advisory Council of Goodwill Houston and as an officer on the executive board of DFK, International USA. Additionally, Steve is an active member of Houston’s Convene Christian Business Owners.
A native of Huntsville, Texas, Steve graduated with honors from Sam Houston State University in 1977. He is a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of Public Accountants. When not working or spending time with his wife and three children, Steve enjoys golfing
Mike Rome
Mike Rome is CEO and Principal at Chilton Capital Management, working mainly on strategy, business development, and overseeing day to day activities for the firm. Mike is nationally recognized as a leading investment and wealth advisor to business owners, senior executives, and family offices. His thirty five plus year career includes experience in virtually every facet of the investment industry. Before joining Chilton, Mike was CEO of Texan Capital, and was a partner at Bridgeway Capital Management and AIM/Invesco, while leading offices for Merrill Lynch, Kidder Peabody, and Oppenheimer. He is also a Partner in a private-equity firm, Memorial Capital Partners.
Mike graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree, and was a two sport letterman in Football and Baseball. He furthered his studies in Portfolio Management at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, and in Behavioral Finance at Harvard University. He is active in the community and serves on a number of boards, including the City of Houston Higher Education Finance Corp., University of Kansas School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, University of Texas Libraries System, HCU Center for Christianity, and the Holocaust Museum.
John Meredith
John Meredith is the Chief Operating Officer of Chamberlain Hrdlicka, a Houston based law firm with offices in multiple cities. John grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Georgia, an MBA from Georgia Tech, and a J.D. from Baylor Law School. Upon graduation, John practiced trial law for eight years at Woodard, Hall & Primm in Houston. While working at the law firm, John earned a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University in 1997 and then helped found the award-winning Aspiring Youth After-School Programs for at-risk youth as a volunteer project of the Houston, Texas and American Bar Young Lawyers Associations. As Chairman, John organized and implemented citywide, statewide and nationwide programs that have reached more than 13,500 at-risk youth in over 30 cities. In 2005, John joined Greenberg Traurig law firm as Business Director and worked there until 2013, when he became the first Executive Director of SpringSpirit, a Houston non-profit assisting under-served youth and families.
John is a Board Member for Souper Bowl of Caring and SpringSpirit non-profit organizations, and a Deacon at Houston’s Second Baptist Church. In recognition of John’s community and professional service, John carried the Olympic Torch for the Atlanta Olympic Games. Among numerous other awards John received are the Robert F. Kennedy Award from Harvard University, Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston, Outstanding Young Lawyer of Texas, Baylor Young Lawyer of the Year, and the Ten Outstanding Young Americans Award from the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce. John is married to Shirley Shelton Meredith and they have two children.
