Freshman Acceptance Timeline

Below is a guideline for what you need to be doing each month as you prepare to become a HCU Husky.

August-September
Fill out the freshman application.
Have your high school transcript sent to Houston Christian University.

October
Take the SAT, ACT, or CLT and send your scores to us.
NOTE: Test Optional Policy applies for Spring/Summer/Fall 2022 admissions.

October-March
Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and be sure to select to have the report sent to Houston Christian University.

October -March
Receive Financial Aid packet (You will receive an email alerting you to log into Huskynet to view your award. A mailed packet will also be sent.)
Pay your Enrollment deposit and receive your “I’m a Husky” t-shirt. Your deposit also allows you to sign up for Housing.
Apply for Housing.

February
Attend Winter Preview.

March
Register for New Student Orientation or “GO”.

April
Turn in your Meningitis Vaccination Form (Required by the State of Texas).

June
Request your final high school transcript to be sent to HCU (transcript that shows your high school graduation date).
Attend New Student Orientation.

August
Move into your Residence Hall.
Attend Welcome Days.
Start Classes.
