HBU Athlete Senior Days
On March 14, the Southland Conference announced all remaining athletic competitions and championships for the 2020 season would be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Several HBU seniors in men’s and women’s golf, track and field, beach volleyball, softball and baseball had just begun their final seasons and did not have the opportunity to complete their athletic careers and compete for a conference championship.
As a way of providing recognition for their accomplishments on the field/course/court/track, in the classroom and as members of the HBU community, the HBU athletic department began running “Senior Days” features daily on HCUHuskies.com on March 30 to honor each of our 36 spring sports seniors. Fans were encouraged to retweet or reply to the tweet sent out by the HBU athletic department Twitter handle when each feature was posted, as a means of showing support and appreciation.
