Houston Christian University’s Linda Dunham School of Nursing students will now gain invaluable hands-on experience in the birthing process, thanks to a grant from The Cullen Trust for Health Care. The grant facilitated the acquisition of an innovative birth simulation system, allowing nursing students to engage in every aspect of childbirth. The state-of- the-art simulators offer a safe training environment with features like realistic sounds, palpable pulses and interactive technology. HCU faculty members expressed excitement about the opportunity for students to develop critical thinking and clinical judgment in a simulated setting, ultimately enhancing their readiness for real-world nursing careers.
