Please see below for required supplemental items for international students applying to HCU.

Freshman Applicants Coming from Outside the U.S. (F-1 visa)
If you are a current high school student applying as a freshman international student to HCU from outside the U.S., please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- High school transcripts from at least 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th grades. We cannot accept regional test scores, such at WAEC. If our admissions department cannot evaluation the transcript directly, we will ask for a foreign transcript evaluation.
- Proof of English proficiency: There are many ways to show your English proficiency, to include Duolingo or English as the language of instruction. Please review this website for detailed information.
- Copy of your passport (valid for 6 months in the future)
- Financial documentation
Transfer Applicants Coming from Outside the U.S. (F-1 visa)
If you are a current university/college student applying as a transfer international student to HCU, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- Foreign transcript evaluation of all courses taken outside the U.S.
- Proof of English proficiency
- Copy of your passport (valid 6 months in the future)
- Financial documentation
Freshman Applicants Coming from a U.S. High School (F-1 visa)
If you are a current high school international student in the U.S. holding an F-1 student visa, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- High school transcript
- Official SAT or ACT test scores are not required if applying as test optional
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, I-20
- Transfer in form
- Financial documentation
Transfer Applicants Coming from a U.S. College or University (F-1 visa)
If you are a current university/college student in the U.S. applying as a transfer international F-1 student to HCU, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- ALL college transcripts (any college courses taken outside the U.S. must have a foreign transcript evaluation)
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, I-20
- Transfer in form
- Financial documentation
- Proof of English proficiency (2 semesters of English courses equivalent to Composition I & II from a regionally-accredited institution of higher education with a grade of C or better can be counted toward English proficiency)
Freshman Applicants Coming from a U.S. High School (non F-1 visa)
If you are a current high school international student in the U.S. holding a valid visa other than F-1, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- Official high school transcript
- Official SAT or ACT test scores are not required if applying as test optional
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, and approval notice (I-797)
Transfer Applicants Coming from a U.S. College or University (non F-1 visa)
If you are a current university/college student in the U.S. applying as a transfer international student to HCU and hold a valid visa other than F-1, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, and approval notice (I-797)
Graduate Applicants Coming from Outside the U.S. (F-1 visa)
If you are applying as a graduate international student to HCU from outside the U.S., please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- All required academic admissions supplements for your desired degree plan
- Foreign transcript evaluation of previous degrees awarded
- Proof of English proficiency
- Copy of your passport (valid 6 months in the future)
- International Processing Fee
- Financial documentation
Graduate Applicants Coming from Inside the U.S. (F-1 visa)
If you are applying as a graduate student in the U.S. as an F-1 student, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- All required academic admissions supplements for your desired degree plan
- College transcripts (any college courses taken outside the U.S. must have a foreign transcript evaluation)
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, I-20
- International Processing Fee
- Financial documentation
- Proof of English proficiency (a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education whose instruction is conducted in English can be counted toward English proficiency)
Graduate Applicants Coming from Inside the U.S. (non F-1 visa)
If you are applying as a graduate international student to HCU and hold a valid visa other than F-1, please submit the following supplements for your application after applying here.
- All required academic admissions supplements for your desired degree plan
- Official college or university transcripts
- Copy of your passport, visa, I-94, and approval notice (I-797)
- International Processing Fee
Undocumented Students
If you are a student who is undocumented in the U.S., you may apply here and then submit the following supplemental items:
- Official high school transcript (freshmen) or official college transcript (transfer students)
- Official SAT or ACT test scores are not required if applying as test optional
