Courses Taught

Ms. Robbins brings her experience as a digital artist, working both for the Secret Service and as a freelancer, to bear in the field of games development. In her classes, she emphasizes tying faith and design into storytelling using tools such as digital art, creature/character design, and environmental designs. She has a passion for concept art, 3D modeling, 3D Printing, and games environments, and works to connect those specialties to the realms of film and games development. She seeks to help students find their storytelling voice and translate that into different mediums and opportunities.

Teaching Focus

Ms. Robbins previously worked as a Visual Information Specialist for the United States Secret Service in Washington, DC where she created digital environments for use in training, security planning, and informational purposes. She uses her skills from her time there and as a freelancer to teach students both about the entertainment side of games development, as well as the serious games industry. She seeks to also highlight how the skills, software, and design principles honed in the pursuit of making games can be used across disciplines and jobs.
